"Teacher Gift"

What a special way to honor that special teacher in your child's life. Each student drew a picture to be added to the quilt and other added quotes to tell this amazing teacher just how awesome she is. A perfect gift for a teacher when you don't quite know what to get. 

Another beautiful memory quilt created in celebration of a 40th Wedding Anniversary - the pictures capture their relationship throughout the years. I just love the colors that the client picked for this one. Red, to represent the ruby anniversary and black and white to accent the rich red. Beautiful choice. 

Here's my latest creation. I quilt that my sister gifted to a friend of hers who lost all her mementos and photo prints in the Fort McMurray fire. 

Another collage style quilt made for a wedding gift. 

Here is my latest creation.....a gift for a friend's wedding. This quilt has been quilted with my mother's long arm machine (not something I regularly have access to - as she is in Newfoundland - but could arrange it if requested). The quilting really makes the pictures "pop" out of the quilt. 

Baby Shower Memory Quilt

I have decided to once again start making memory photo quilts after a few years hiatus. Here is a recent creation for a friend of mine for her baby shower.

Here is my latest quilt creation. I just love the brown and navy together. :)

This was another quilt that was ordered this year as a Christmas present. It is the same pattern that I used this summer.... different from the collage type that I usually do. I absolutely love this one and I am very happy with how it turned out. One of the things I love about quilting is seeing how beautiful each and every quilt looks when complete.

Here is a couple of quilts that was ordered as Christmas gifts this year.

The first one was done with Sepia photos - which was a first for me but I'm impressed with how well it turned out. The brown tones of the photos matches the brown tones of the fabric really well.

I love how this one turned out as well. Really love the colors of these fabrics together.

IT'S A GIRL!

A good friend of mine recently had a beautiful baby girl. In celebration of her arrival, I hosted a baby shower last weekend and of course had to surprise her with a photo quilt of her very own. Here are a couple of photos of the quilt I made for her. It turned out to be one of my favorite quilts I've made.

Since I haven't posted any new quilts in the last few months due to a busy family life. Alas, here are the most recent ones. One was a gift to a cousin of mine in honor of her getting married. The other, was an order from a wonderful woman who is going to use the quilt for the guest signatures at her wedding. What a great idea! I am very pleased with how both turned out.

Here is my latest photo quilt. It is the same baby quilt as before but in the "boy" version.

Again it was created using 8 baby photos and one block which contains baby's name, birthdate and weight. Approx. size of the quilt is 55"x55".

Breast Cancer Awareness

This is a quilt I just finished for a breast cancer fund raiser. Each block contains the breast cancer symbol with a heart printed border.

This quilt will be auctioned off at a silent auction tomorrow night. Let's hope it helps raise many funds for a good cause.

Photo Quilt done as a baby shower gift after the baby is born. Includes pregnancy photo, ultrasound photo, baby's first pictures and a block stating baby's name, birth-date, birth-time and weight.

The latest quilt that I've made.... ordered for a celebration of a 50th wedding anniversary.

This is not a photo quilt but it's an example of another type of quilt that I can do. I worked long and hard at this as a Christmas present for my mother.

This quilt is made of very heavy fabric that has a two-toned effect. Much like a bedspread but with the warm coziness of a quilt.

This is a quilt made for a while ago that was ordered for a Christmas present so I had to wait to post the picture of it. This one gives you an idea of what a quilt would look like when you have only a few pictures to use or if you would like something a little less busy.
